Claire Reika Wright will be exhibiting seven paintings from her "Strange Adventure" series at Transfabulous. They were painted between 1998 and 2003 in Australia, Bali and Yorkshire. During this time Claire discovered she was transsexual.

The varied responses of her family, friends and society in general to her transgenderism had a profound influence on her as she began establishing a new life. Totally subconsciously she began painting in a dramatically different style, only later did she realise how remakably these paintings reflected the journey she was undertaking.
