Workshop - "Memoirs, Journals and the Narrative Self"

There is a reason why so many transfolk write memoirs and why there are so many of us out in the blogosphere in Livejournal and elsewhere - we need to present who we are to ourselves as well as to other people. One of the ways in which we keep it real is to keep it clear - writing about ourselves can be an excuse for muddled writing in just the same way as any other sort of writing. Bring a chunk of memoir or journal-writing and be prepared to justify every comma and every metaphor!!!

At any given time Roz Kaveney has several writing projects on the go. She will be reading from recent critical books, from her memoirs and from her fiction, including her erotic fan-fiction. Some of it will be posy intellectual stuff with the odd quite funny joke, and some of it will be hot, or at least hottish.
