D'Artagnan and The Three Musclequeers

dartagnan and the 3 musclequeers

... are not the oldest boyband from France, but a transnational, multigender performance troupe.

The three prettyboys pay homage (and femage!) to older and younger generations of camp and brown folks, and invent an irreverent Queer Diaspora that celebrates incoherence, instability and gender schmender kitsch.

Prince Jei is a glamorous fem trapped in a butch boy's body. He likes to giggle, wriggle and converse deeply, with daddies, mistresses and (especially) sugar boys and fellow switchie-in-betweenies. He's a bit clever and romantic and would prefer his fan mail in rhymes.

Rent aka rent boy soup kitchen is a sweet transvestite femme boy who loves femme cock and wearing tight fitting lycra. Also likes spending his time playing with his hair for hours, trying to get it to flick better than charlie's angels. Super sensitive and painfully shy lothario except when in the kitchen...he belongs in the kitchen and on stage.

Homeo Romeo is strong and silent, suave and sophisticated. He kisses the girls and makes them sigh. When the boys come out to play he kisses them too, he's queer that way! Watch him make his moves! The 3 Musclequeers myspace

Queer MC

Queer MC

King du Berry is a group of Drag King performers created in 2004. This "Trans-fag-dyke” (trans-pede-guine in French) troop has the political and artistic intention of creating links between popular culture and transgender activism.

Queer MC is their first hip hop theatrical creation.. "These rappers don’t come from LA. Like spray paint they cover over and subvert heterocratic parasites," like hot queer tomcats spraying their live and sexy messages against transphobia, lesbophobia, butchphobia, queerphobia and erotophobia"

"Anything but Show biz? Just for fun? The Drag King du Berry is moustached and soul patched, with breasts well wrapped - they loose themselves in QUEER HEP HOP: trans/bad boyz for tonight or for life."
